Brittany Galloway is a Cleveland-based artist and graduate from the Cleveland Institute of Art. Although she studied and received her degree in Interior Architecture, she has never strayed away from her love for the Fine Arts. Brittany has dabbled in a plethora of art mediums from photography, sculpture, painting, drawing, mixed media, animation, illustration, and more. Ever since she was a child, she had always been drawn to the arts which comes as no surprise, considering she was born into a family of artists. She deeply values where she came from and the knowledge her family has given her throughout the years. She is always on the quest for new inspiration and takes pride in being a "jack of all trades". Her philosophy has always been that life is too short. Therefore, we should never shy away from the things that spark interest in us. We never truly know what series of doors it could open for us.
Along with her love for the arts, Brittany has also been influenced by fashion. While she was a full-time student at CIA, she started her own clothing brand called, "Overpriced Advice" in 2021. Overpriced Advice explores the relationship between art, fashion & bold expression. After many collections, the brand's priorities have changed, but the objective has remained the same - create awareness around important global & societal issues. Brittany is very passionate about women's rights, the effects of fast fashion, and climate change and one will often see these themes reflected her work. The brand, now offers custom, upcycled, and preloved one-of-one pieces.
